He received a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt in 1972. He also obtained a Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies (MS) in 1977, a Doctorat d'Ingenieur (PhD) in 1979 and a Doctorat d'Etat-es-Sciences Physiques (DSc) in 1982, all in Chemical Engineering from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Industries Chimiques (ENSIC of the Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine (INPL), France. Professor Morsi's research activities involve different aspects of Chemical, Environmental, and Petroleum Engineering.
