Professional Interests

Dr. Velankar joined the faculty in August 2002. Prior to this, he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, and in the University of Minnesota. His research deals with polymers, rheology, two-phase flow, interfacial phenomena, and colloidal systems. Topics of recent research include:

  • Polymer blends
  • Compatibilizers
  • Interfacially-active particles
  • Microfluidic drop flows
  • Renewable polymers

Please see Professor Velankar's group website for more details.
